Mr. Shakespeare & Mr. Porter / NETC

Coming up in December, Evan will be appearing in a new revival of Mr. Shakespeare & Mr. Porter at the Medicine Show Theatre, New York City's oldest experimental theatre company.

Mr. Shakespeare & Mr. Porter turns the Bard of Avon's most famous plays into hilarious 30-minute mini-musicals featuring songs (both well-known and obscure) from one of Broadway's wittiest tunesmiths. Medicine Show has produced previous editions of the show in 1992, 1995, 2001, and 2008. Clive Barnes from the New York Post has written "Delightful, delicious, delovely, and deShakespeare! Joyful mayhem delivered with as much chutzpah as panache! Comically digested versions of six of the Bardic cannon, embossed with witty insertions of Cole Porter songs...I was totally captivated!"

Evan will be appearing as Banquo in Macbeth, Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream, France in King Lear, and Guildenstern in Hamlet. On Wednesday, November 18, the cast will perform the first three musicals at the beautiful and historic Players' Club on Gramercy Park South.

In other news, Evan just finished serving as a judge and audition coach at the New England Theatre Conference convention in Sturbridge, MA. How refreshing it was to see so many bright-eyed and joyful young performers!
